Job Overview

We’re looking for a part-time Worship Pastor who is passionate about leading people into the presence of God and who brings creativity and excellence to the Sunday experience. This role has the potential to move from part time to full time before the end of 2025.  This role involves creating a lifestyle of worship, leading the band, and also technical understanding with a willingness to step in as needed with regards to sound, livestream, and worship tech systems. You’ll lead worship, develop volunteers, and partner with our team to shape dynamic worship experiences at Generation Church.  We also have a part-time tech director that would be working with you.

 
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead worship for Sunday morning gatherings
  • Develop and disciple the worship team
  • Oversee mid-week rehearsals and prepare set lists (Planning Center)
  • Understand the  audio, video, lighting, and livestream systems (led by our tech director)
  • Coordinate closely with the Lead Pastor to plan and execute services that point us to Jesus
  • Maintain equipment, stage setup, and tech systems
  • Cultivate a life-style of worship
  • Have fun!  As a team we like to laugh and we are looking for someone who enjoys what they do and the people they do it with.

Qualifications

  • Spirit-led worshiper with a heart to serve the local church
  • Proficient in vocals and ideally one lead instrument (guitar or keys preferred)
  • Strong relational and leadership skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, and a good communicator
  • All-in on the mission, vision, and values of Generation Church

 
Bonus Experience

  • Running a Sunday livestream
  • Multitrack use in worship
  • Lighting systems and stage design

 
Position Details

  • Part-Time: 20 hours/week
  • Must be available Sunday mornings with flexible mid-week hours
